I was disappointed that my purchase was not bottled in Key West. We bought some while down there and wanted more but wanted it from KW.
USLovin' the rum!
We were recently in Key West and toured the Papa's Pilar Rum Distillery. The tour was informational about the rum-making process and concluded with samples of each rum made there. Their lounge was very nice and offers the opportunity to try (buy) some great drink recipes. I bought a bottle of the dark rum to fly home and it didn't last very long so I purchased a "trifecta" of the Blonde, Dark, and Sherry-Finished Dark rums. Shipping was quick, bottles were well packed, and the discount on 3 bottles was fair. This is excellent rum to be experienced neat, on the rocks, or in a mixed drink!

After a recent visit to Key West, I had enjoyed the Light and Dark Rums. Now, I ordered refills of those PLUS the new Dark Sherry Cask edition! Wow ... I cannot wait to go back to the distillery in Key West to see what else is new.

The Sherry was new to me and very good. I also appreciate the mixing recommendations. The dark and Sherry with some orange peal on the rocks is good. The best mixed drink in Key West.

My family visits KeyWest once or twice a year, and I myself was born there. We were visiting last July and had the pleasure of the Rum Factory tour. I was very impressed The history behind it all and the upmost quality of this Rum is first class. I will be ordering many more in the future for Christmas presents as well as my own reserve at home! I LOVE the bottle design too.

Papa's Pilar Rum is my favorite Rum by far. The website is easy to navigate and shipping was extremely fast. The Rum is excellent on top of all that. Throw some coconut water in an ice cube tray freeze then pour the Papa's right over the top of the coconut water cube and enjoy!!
